My WPPI schedule!
Whoa... it really hasn't hit me yet that I leave for Las Vegas on Sunday for the annual Wedding and Portrait Photographers International conference affectionately called by photographers as WPPI. This will be my 3rd time attending, and it's crazy to reflect back to 2 years ago attending barely knowing anyone, to now how jam packed my schedule is with speaking events and workshops and parties. My brain is trying to wrap around all the things I have on my calendar with no idea when I'm going to sleep! But I've learned that's pretty much the norm in Vegas.
What I love the most about Vegas is the opportunity to meet YOU. The opportunity to see old friends I haven't seen since last year. The opportunity to connect and network and meet new friends. It's kind of like the 1st day of school after you've been gone from friends all summer, now nervous and excited stepping back on the school campus to see everyone again as you daydream about what the next school year entails for your future.
I've jotted down a few of the places I'll be hanging out and I would love love love to meet you and give you a big hug. You can also stay up to date with me via Twitter at twitter.com/scarlettlillian and if you see me walking around, please say hello!
SUNDAY, MARCH 7
7:30PM- Private Party for Pictage Leaders
9:00PM- Airhorns & Lasers Par-TAY (With all the buzz I'm hearing, this is definitely the party of the year you don't want to miss)
MONDAY, MARCH 8
11:00AM- Speaking with Stephen Knuth (aka the hot Photog of the Year) at ShowIt thing a ma jig for ShowIt users, sorry, invite only.
1:00PM- Working at the Thirst Relief booth
6:00PM- Private Dinner with Pictage
8:00PM- My mentor session with my Thirst Relief winner, Tricia Bennett!
10PM: Maybe the WPPI Pool Party if it's still going on.
TUESDAY, MARCH 9
11:00AM- Touring the Tradeshow
2:00PM- My Vegas Shootout! Woo hoo!
8:30PM- Pictage Party at Studio 54
WEDNESDAY, March 10
8:00AM- UNITE morning prayer for Christian photographers. You can join us and find out more info the Facebook page.
12:30PM- Being interviewed at the Pictage Booth. I hope to see you there! There might be a time for Q&A, so bring your questions!
4PM: Bye bye Vegas! Must go home and SLEEP!
Whew... ok I'm already exhausted. Can't wait to see you there!! Here's a fun slideshow from last year. I still think it's funny how when Stephen and I started emailing, I discovered he was in this slideshow in a few pics at my party I threw last year, and we met because he crashed it! So you never know... what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas!

its my first time going to wppi. and a friend of mine was joking around with me the other day saying "we need to find you a man" haha!
