Quick survey!

So I've been getting some feedback from other photographers asking me to put out a DVD... It's run through my mind, but I've never been able to decide about what. Question is, if I did put one out, what do YOU want out of a DVD from me?

Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!

In the meantime, you'll be able to catch video clips of me shooting Danielle and Jay's engagement session soon on photographymentor.com! Check it out!

Maybe a DVD about YOUR photography. Kinda of like all your "spend a days with scarlett lillian" made into a DVD movie with tips, ideas, etc. I think that would be great. I'd definitely buy it.

I would like to see how and when you decide to use your pocket wizard and overhead flash. lighting in general. and maybe just how you market yourself when you are just beginning your business.

I think it would be cool to see how you handle everything, from the first inquiry with a bride, how you follow up, the engagement session, wedding day, album and slideshow production... How you handle everything!! Kind of like a "spend a day with Scarlett", but for a real wedding... (oh yeah, and Contracts!! What should you include in your contract?)

I look to your blog DAILY for information to inspire and direct me as my husband and I start our own photography business. I would love to see the "business" side of things explained. Everything from the legalities of the profession, to the marketing end. I would also love to see your post processing tips as a demonstration. I have watched your video of FAQs, but I would love to SEE the things you discussed.

A DVD is a great idea! You are so good at what you do and it is awesome that you are so willing to share your talent and your tips to help others! :)

Just for kicks I'd like to see your raw photos next to the edited version. Even though I've got my own style, I'm curious to see your straight out of the camera. Then I'd like to see a video that allows us to hear you during a photo shoot instead of just a video with music in the background. I'd like to know what you tell couples when you pose them, what all do you get them to talk about and how they react when you ask them to make-out!

I would love to see you go at it on the computer. I love editing, but I feel like it takes FOREVER, and with working a full time job and still in college, it would be great to learn how to save some time editing.

I want to know how many pictures you shoot for a wedding and then how many the b&g end up seeing.

I agree - a Day With Scarlett DVD is a must! I would like to see all the behind the scenes decision making including posing, lighting, and all the technical sides. I think it would be great to have a series of DVDs...A Day With Scarlett, Editing Tips, and Lighting. I think they they are too all encompassing to lump them all together into one DVD. Thanks!
