Congratulations Katie & Garrett!

It is always so special to me to have the honor of shooting a friend's wedding. I've known Katie since high school and was able to reconnect with her through the planning of her wedding when she asked me to be her photographer. Katie met Garrett on MySpace a few years ago when she moved to Iowa. Though she was only looking to meet new people in the area, their friendship eventually turned into more and now they are married! They had a beautiful garden wedding at the Hilltop Restaurant with lots of purple and lots of love!

Here are my faves of the day and their slideshow below. And tomorrow I'll also be publishing Katie's rainy trash the dress session we shot when they got back from their honeymoon.

This shot was extra special to me when Katie's mom walked her down the aisle because her mom used to be my math teacher in high school!

Garrett surprised Katie with playing a montage of love songs for her during the ceremony!

Awww, Katie looks beautiful, and I love that Garrett surprised her by playing those songs. And how fun is it to see pictures of one high school friend (and math teacher), shot by another high school friend, including one of my college roommates?!?

These photos are great. They could easily have been taken from a fairytale or a storybook, because that's where this wedding looks like it took place.
