The drive home.
No special date night.
We weren't even dressed up.
All we did was go see a movie.
Driving home, Stephen, driving, and I in the passenger seat.
In the dark.
Listening to worship music.
He held my hand like usual as he drove.
We were both tired so we didn't say much.
But then it happened.
For no reason at all, he lifted my hand to his lips and gave me a kiss.
Then I looked at him and smiled.
And he smiled.
And in that one gesture, I knew I was loved.
No words were said.
Only the words in my head thinking, "I can't wait to marry Stephen."

God has great plans for you two!! So excited for you both!!!
You made me cry Scarlett, that's a great feeling. Your both blessed to have found eachother. Love really is the closest thing we have to magic. <3
Love Arlene
I was lucky to sit at the same table with you and Stephen on the first morning of Pictage Partnercon this past year. Not only was I inspired by both of your knowledge and skills, but also by the fact that it was clear how much you loved each other. I remember you holding hands during Jim's opening comments and I felt a great "warmy, fuzzy" feeling, just like I did when I read this post.
Thank you for sharing - and I look forward to more updates!
How sweet!! Congrats on setting a date Scarlett...my fiance and I are gtting married April 23, 2011 so that will be a fabulous year and month for us both! You both deserve all the happiness in the world!!
Sweet. Wishing you and Stephen an awesomely blessed union. I met your fiance at the Freedom Tour...real cool! B-)
Awww thanks guys! :-)
Tears. :-) My (new, wonderful) boyfriend does that in the car too, and it's such a little gesture but there is so much reassurance and love in that. Congrats!
LOVE those moments :) I'm predicting you two will rendezvous in Vegas for old times sake, before the year's out, to meet up with Rev. Elvis! ;)
