The man I'm going to marry. /// Coronado Wedding Photographer
And I get that giddy feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Still.
Everytime.
For so long, I always wondered what my husband would look like. As a little girl, I wondered what little features he would have that I wouldn't be able to get enough of. And now, as we prepare for marriage, in the simple moments like riding in the car, I secretly sit in the passenger seat just taking in all of Stephen's little details.
Like the cute freckle above his lip.
Or his tall "fauxhawk" hair that I love to put my fingers through.
Or his hazel eyes that look at me and I know I'm cherished without him saying a word.
And the way he smiles when he doesn't realize he's smiling as he says "Yeahhhh" to a question I ask him, which really is his way of saying, "Of course, for you, anything."
Or even the burn scar on his hand from the time he was making me waffles, and because I don't have a toaster, he tried to use the broiler on my oven only to sizzle his hand as he was taking them out.
When I was in San Diego recently, Stephen asked me to take some new promo shots of him. I just smiled with a little smirk.
"What? Are you ok with that?" he asked.
"Yeah," I told him. "I'm just thinking about the last time I took promo shots of you. I was soooo crushing on you and you had no idea!"
"You wanted me to kiss you, didn't you?" he teased.
"Um, YEAH! But I wasn't about to kiss you first."
"Awwww, well I'm all yours now, Sweetheart," he responded. Ahhhhh, sweetheart. There's something about the gentle way he calls me his "sweetheart" that makes my heart melt each time.
For his photos this time around, like last time, I was still nervous. Not only was I not using MY camera trying to use his, it was just that nervous crazy feeling that hit me, like, wow, I'm taking pictures of the man I'm going to marry.
Like, he's not just in my head anymore of everything I was trusting God for.
He's here.
Actually here.
It's him.
He really loved me enough to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him.
Wow.
For many years, I clung to the Psalm 37:4 verse: "Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart." With Stephen, He truly did.
So here's my favorite shots of my oh so hot fiance and Coronado's hottest wedding photographer, Stephen Knuth.

I love the ones with the words behind him in the picture and his left hand is down...pretty soon that left hand will have a wedding band on it...and oh how I love to see a mans hand with a wedding ring. I love looking at Lance's hand while he's driving, holding easton, whatever it may be and see his ring on it. He's mine- all mine!
XOXO
LOL, I haven't thought about that with the ring. Too cute!!
