Saturday, I didn't just shoot a wedding, I shot a worship service. At Wendy and Jamals' wedding, they started their reception with a full 50 people or so choir and live band and dancers and totally rocked the house putting God first in their celebration. Those shots are to come, but my favorite shot of the day was the simplicity of this one. After exchanging their vows, they started their union as husband and wife by lifting their hands in worship to the sweet Lord. I instantly began to cry behind the camera, I can't imagine a more beautiful way to begin a marriage than in complete surrender and praise to the Creator of marriage. At the end of the night, Wendy got up and gave a toast to her new husband and ended it by saying "As long as you follow Jesus, I will always follow you." Again, cry, tears. So beautiful.
To Wendy and Jamal, your love for each other and love for the Lord is contagious. Thank you for your example, I was completely moved by your wedding, as I'm sure everyone else was too who attended. You both inspire me to want to seek God's heart even stronger.

SO amazing!!
S, this image is sooooo moving! WOW! What an absolutely beautiful couple...and what an amazing way to begin their lives together.
gives me goosebumps and touches my heart in a wonderful way!
AWESOME!
When I married 15 years ago, we thought we were being a little over the top by having a couple dance and sign on the platform to "There Is None Like You". I wanted our wedding to begin in worship to and 15 years later - God has blessed indeed. Beautiful picture Scarlett as always.
This is so Powerful Scarlet!!!

Okay. I am a guy who doesn't show a tear that much. I am going to admit that this image brought tears to my eyes just because it simply shows the true union of what marriage is and what it should be before the Lord. I have been waiting a while before I could see an image like this one and finally I can see two people rejoicing before our Lord & Savior while giving praises to him on a day where everything can be wild & crazy they took a moment to thank the one who started it all. I love the light & detail in this image, everything about this is intimate and can see they put the Lord first in their amazing marriage. This is an amazing black & white photograph but I can't stop looking past how incredible what is going on in this image truly is. Thank You so much for sharing!
what an awesome testimony! thanks for sharing it with us, scarlett :)

I *love* what you've shared from this wedding. They're foundation is already so strong!
Scarlett... You never fail to amaze me with the moments that you capture in your photography sessions.
This picture touched a very deep part of me that longs for the same kind of love that this couple has for each other - and for their Creator.
I hope to one day share that kind of union with the man in my life and be able to say - As long as you follow God, I will follow you."
And I can't wait to hire YOU to capture our moment.
Love you!
just wow.
i have a feeling god is going to see them through a long and loving marriage.
