Melissa got her glam on!
When I shot
Shayla's wedding, I met her oh so fab stylist
Melanie Pace. She's not only a stylist, but a personal shopper and has styled many magazine editorial spreads. She was needing some updated portfolio pieces for her website, so I was of course thrilled to shoot those photos for her!
Turns out our model, Melissa, just graduated from high school, so it was awesome to give her some hot Senior shots as well! While most girls are heading to college after graduation, Melissa is heading to China on Sunday because she got signed by a modeling agency overseas and will be rockin' that. She was such a natural and I'm sure one day I'll be able to say I was one of the first to get my camera on her!
Here's my favorites from the shoot below. To view Melissa's full slideshow, you can view it on my brand new Senior site at

another gorgeous shoot from the Grande Lady of Photography. ;)
what were your light sources for this one, Scarlett?
Not too many people can do so well in multiple genres of photography. You are well on your way in the fashion world. Great shots.
I was thinking that the blank space above your bed might look good with a nice B&W canvas. Just a thought LOL!
LOL I DID have a B&W canvas up there, but had to take it down for the shoot. It's back up there now though. Such a hot couple in the shot.
Sarcomical- All I used was the Alien Bee Ring Flash. Love it! http://www.alienbees.com/abr800.html

I really like these! Just out of curiosity, why did you decide to entirely change your processing look for these?
The stylist wanted more of a Nylon magazine look to the photos. And I just wanted to have fun experimenting! :-)
awesome job on these. :)
love reading your blog.
xx
Yay - I can finally leave you blog comments! :) This shoot has really inspired me to try more flash/indoor photography. This is awesome! And it TOTALLY looks like Nylon magazine. She must be ecstatic with these photos! Can't wait to see what God has in store for you with fashion photography.
