Daddy's little girl.
Sniff sniff. Mom wrote a really touching blog entry about my dad and I.
You can read it here:
johnnysjourneytovictory.blogspot.comHere's a sweet pic of him and I when I was a baby. He always tells me the story of how I used to take my little baby hands and grip for dear life onto his chest hair to torture him! :-) I'm innocent, I swear.

Awww... you looked so cute, Scarlett! I hope your dad is doing well... he's a real fighter!
I just happened upon your blog today. I'm an aspiring photog and you're work is absolutely stunning!
Your mom's tribute is beautiful...it completely touched me and I'm so grateful that I was led to click my way over here today. Please know that I am praying for your precious family.
Hi Scarlet - I just visited your mom's site and loved reading the post about your father and how he's been such a wonderful inspiration to you. I too am very close with my family and realize the importance of each family member.
I pray that God makes this difficult time easy for you all.
On a side note - I just discovered your work a few days back and I am totally in love with it all! I love your spirit and your creativity! I feel like I have already learned so much from you, just by reading your blog.
Look forward to seeing more of your work..and maybe one day, I could be one of the lucky ones to have a 'Spend a Day' with you. :)
Best,
Amna
such a sweet photo. Baby death grips are the worst though. I had some traumatic experiences with near flesh removal from my nanny days. I'm sure all the pain was worth it for him though. :) Nothing like some baby lovin. :)
What a truly amazing post your Mother wrote about your relationship with your father. I was almost in tears reading it, as I am also a "Daddy's girl". It's amazing to have that level of relationship with your father. Not many kids today seem to adore or respect their parents, so it is always a beautiful thing when you see it.
I am originally from Louisiana and my parents still live there so I know what your mom is talking about when she mentions the stories he told you about your heritage. Both of my parents had some amazing stories to tell.
You are blessed with amazing parents but they are also blessed with an amazing and talented daughter.
Sorry to be the grammar police, but it should be "my dad and me".
Anonymous- What are you talking about? I don't see that anywhere I wrote?
Thanks to everyone else for the super sweet words!!!
What a beautiful and loving family you have!
Also, Anonymous- You are so rude!
Scarlett - So like several other aspiring photographers and photographer-wanna-be's I've been "stalking" your blog for almost two years now and have been so inspired by your work that I've finally begun my journey into photography myself! You're so unique in what you do and it's so awesome to watch you grow in your business, as a photographer, and as a person!
When I first read about your father's battle with cancer I immediately began praying for you. I had just lost my father after a 15 year battle from the affects of cancer in March 2007. I can't even begin to express how much my heart goes out to you and your family. But I am so happy to see that you're turning to God for all your needs and don't just see this as a potential loss, but a gain for your father himself. My prayers to you and your family, especially your father. And congrats to your mom! Through her, your father is continuing to be an inspiration to hundreds of strangers!
Thank you for bravely displaying your inner and outward beauty and being such an inspiration to the same strangers and then some, just like your father! :)
Thanks so much Lis Ann! I'm humbled by your words. It's comforting to know how much you relate! I appreciate all your prayers!
I Love old photos like this! I wish I had more of my childhood, but I'll always cherish the ones that i do have. Cheers!
