Congrats Momma, Jacksonville.com's hottest new blogger!
I just have to jump up and down in this blog entry for my mom! She made the front cover of Jacksonville.com this morning! It's so exciting to see her writing dreams become a reality one step at a time! I always thought it was ironic that I became a journalism major in college, because really, my mom was the TRUE writer in the family! While I liked it, she loved it. Words come so effortlessly to her and they flow from her heart like the air she breaths in.
So one day, I finally set up a blog for her, and since then, she's become a writing machine! Though the blog began as a way to keep friends and family updated on my dad's journey through cancer, it has turned into so much more, and her greatest desire is to bring to hope to others going through a similar situation and how to continue trusting God and His grace through it all.
Then recently, the Florida Times Union caught wind of her blog confirming what a "fabulous" writer she is, and has featured her as a hot new blog writer on Jacksonville.com! Woo hoo!

It was so funny to wake up to our picture on the front page of Jacksonville.com this morning! ha!

Hey Miss Scarlett!
Or Miss Fabulousity!
I love that.
Even though Ive never met you or your parents, I feel like i Know them through your blog and your mom and dads blog.
I have so many emotions readying your blog. Happiness, sadness, joy, hope, love, an awesome respect for your mother, and so much more.
You guys are a light in this world. By being who you are, by being who God created you to be, you are bright lights shining in the darkness. I just want to say thank you for being who you are and for sharing Gods word and promises with us.
You've both helped me to become better Christians. I wish that somehow I could help you, I wish that your daddy Scarlett and your husband Renee, could be healed. I wish that so much for you guys. But I know that God has a plan, and he knows what he is doing even though we do not understand.
You girls are like family to me, and I hope to get to meet you someday.
But for now, Thank you for being real. Thank you for glorifying God in all you do. Thank you for sharing and thank you Renee and Johnny for reminding us what real love is. You gusy are so special and I wish you nothing but Gods Grace and Blessings,
Hugs and take care of each other.
We love you guys!

Totally in tears after reading your moms blog. I am so sorry your family is going through this right now.
It brought up every memory I have of losing both of my parents. They both lost their battles with cancer when I was in my twenties and while it was indeed the hardest most horrific events I always say they gave me the gift of a lifetime. I will forever know how temporary this world is and how each and every image I take for the rest of my career will one day be a treasure worth more than gold to that family. That EVERY day is a gift and to be lived out loud.
I would love to say it will all gets easier with time...and it will but I will be the first to admit I still cry at every single Father/daughter first dance at a wedding...or when mothers day rolls around and all of my friends go out with their moms. The children they never got the chance to know and meet...sigh. But life does go on..it stops for a bit but it just keeps on.
I know I have never met you (although I almost met you at the party the other night but you were surrounded..lol:-) but if you ever need to gab feel free. Sending you and your family thoughts and prayers for continued strength and peace.
