a lot of that is just bad lighting too...
Hi Scarlett! I've been a lurker here checking my google reader feeds for any updates on your blog. This is my first time posting and had to post a comment to the "before and after" posting.
The first person that brought to mind after viewing the celeb photos was my ex-girlfriend. I think I saw her once without make up. My jaw fell like a brick. But that was young love years ago.
I do think one actress that would hold up to the before and after is Jessica Alba. It's either that or she holds some strong magic spell.

Ugh... I think some of those are just bad photos... bad lighting and bad angles. But it's also nice to know that "perfection" isn't always real. We could all be so gorgeous with the right makeup artist and a fab photog (like you)! : )
This should really be a wake up call to all women because we pretty much always see the very beautiful side of the celebs (the ones on the right). But to see them on the left, that is a wake up call to women because it shows that we are all human and we can look beautiful no matter what we look like. I think all of these women are beautiful.
I remember growing up thinking I had to look a special way in order to get noticed (pretty hair nice make-up and clothes) but really you don't...it's the beauty that is on the inside.

Ok, so who can argue that Halle Berry is still pretty all natural?
But thanks for this. Sometimes I feel like I do myself and injustice by going out in public without at least "trying" to look nice. We should definitely try to relax and live a little.
I still think Hilary Duff, Adriana Lima, Halle Berry, and Katherine Heigl are natural beauties even with these really bad photos. They should fire the photographers, LOL. Are you sure maybe the photos on the left aren't photoshopped to make them look worse? LOL. Some mags will do what it takes to make interesting news articles, right?
This is the main reason I don't leave the house without foundation and at least a little lip gloss...LOL.
BTW, I love your blog. Isis turned me on to it and I've been lurking ever since.

Affairs- LOL, I know same here. I've been getting better at allowing myself to go out of the house without make up on. Thank goodness I don't have paparazzi catching those moments! And so glad you found me through Isis!!
