I'm back from Miami and whew, so much to blog about. But first I want to blog about the most important news I found out on Friday. After many tears and many fears and the ache of a potential loss, my family found out that....

My parents and I have a tradition that anytime any of us have good news, we join together and do a "circle dance" to celebrate. Though I was in Miami on Friday when I heard the news, as soon I got back into town, I drove over to my parents house and as soon as I walked in the house, I grabbed their hands and we did our circle dance rejoicing and praising God for this miracle!!! He is SOOO good and merciful and I want to shout it from the rooftops how amazing His love and grace are! Though I had my moments of doubt, and my faith was truly tested in the unknown moments of possibly losing my dad, it truly is a blessing now to see God keep His promise that He takes care of those who love Him as He promises in Romans 8:28:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Thank you soooooooooooo sooooooooooo much to each and everyone of you who have prayed for my dad and sent cards! You have served in part of this miracle. The fight's not over though. We have just won the first battle and still have the war on cancer to completely defeat. So please continue to keep my dad in your prayers as God continues to cleanse his body of the cancer cells through His healing touch.
Hallelujah!!!!!!! God is good all the time and all the time God is good! Here's a video by one of my favorite Christian artists I interviewed a few years ago, Rebecca St. James, singing one of my favorite worship songs, "Blessed Be Your Name". I got teary eyed just watching the video so overwhelmed in Christ's love and faithfulness today. I pray whatever you are going through, that this video can bless your day too!

Oh my goodness. I thought you (as in I) were only supposed to cry about sad things. I feel true joy and overwhelming emotion about this news. Thank you for sharing all of this and for allowing us to pray. Some would hide it all away and store it all up in the "personal" compartment of their life. These are struggles and victories of the church and praise God for listening to his people and responding in such a lovely way.

Thanks everyone for dancing the circle dance with us all! Dad got another dose of chemo on Friday and he's still hanging in there, but lost his appetite for the moment. He said the chemo takes away his taste buds each time. And my dad LOVES to eat, so you know he's not feeling well if he's turning away food. Thank you for your continued prayers as he continues plugging along!
