How can I pray for you?

"I thank my God every time I remember you, always praying with joy for all of you. "
~Philippians 1:3-4

To give you an update, I am going with my mom and dad today to an appointment with an oncologist to discuss the results from my dad's biopsy and the seriousness of what level his cancer is and how to treat it further. As we hear the news, I know it is going to be emotional for all of us to digest, so please continue to lift us up in prayer for God's continued comfort and peace.

All of you have been so beyond wonderful in praying for my dad and going out of your way to extend your kindness with such encouraging words and your own personal testimonies. I'd like to know now, how can I pray for YOU?

I am flooded in emails and MySpace/Facebook messages right now, so please instead leave a comment with your prayer request so I, and others here, can lift you up and pray for the same grace over you and your loved ones lives.

Thank you for your continued love in Christ! God bless!

Scarlett,

I'm praying for strength for you and your mom (...and dad) in finding out the news about your dad's cancer. I'm praying for courage and trust in knowing that our God, a God who loves us, the same God who knit your father so perfectly in the womb of your grandmother will continue to orchestrate each of your lives so flawlessly that you can feel His Holy presence around you - lifting you all up in your weak moments.

I pray that this time of uncertainty will increase your faith and trust in our God, knowing that He is more concerned with our character than our comfort. His goal is not to pamper us physically (and emotionally) but to perfect us spritually.

Because of Him,

Ginny

I'm praying for you and your Dad and Mom as ALWAYS, but seen as you asked, I'm going to be honest: I'm feeling VERY overwhelmed in my life right now. I feel like I am working all the time, have a million things on the go. It doesn't help that I'm still in school full-time and looking at exams coming up. I feel like there is only so much of "me" to go around! Anyway. God will get me through I'm sure...only about 20 days left.

I have a lot of things on my prayer list. My dad's battle with smoking, my mom's arthritis (she's so young and even younger at heart, it's very heartbreaking), my business, our house we are buying, my daughter (that she will grow up to be a virtuous teenager, then woman, not giving in to peer pressure), homeschooling her or not, and last but not least, my husband: that he continues to be the best dad he can be, leading our child(ren) to Jesus.

Hi Scarlett!

I hope God will give you and your family to get through what lies ahead of you today and forward. Sometimes we learn the most amzing things through the worst of times, I have learned that personally.

I have two prayer requests:

First, I pray that a cure for Juvenile Diabetes will be found in my daughter's lifetime, free of needle pokes and dietary monitoring and the constant fear of complications.

Secondly, is that my photography business will grow great enough that I can pursue it full-time and let go of a 10-year position in my current workplace that I have been unhappy at for the past 7 years! I have four gorgeous children and the love of my life by my side and supporting our family has always come first and foremost, even if it means sacrificing my own happiness in my career path.

Thank you for your prayers!

Scarlett,

There is sooo much on my prayer list.
Prayer for my dad that he gives up smoking and doing drugs, anger leaves him and starts being the head of the house hold, and that he turns his life over to the Lord. Prayer for his heart condition, he recently had a SMALL stroke.

Prayer for my sister's depression, and that she fully gives her life up to the Lord, and starts being a vessel for the Lord.

Prayer for my mom's depression, prayer that she becomes on fire the Lord and is confident in herself, prayer that she knows and feels the Lords love, beauty and grace for her.
Prayer for my parents that there marriage is healed and mended by the Lords grace, and that they learn to put the Lord first, prayer that they fall in love with each other all over again.

Prayer for my business, prayer for Jason and I to continue to seek after the Lords will for our lives, and to put him first above all else. Prayer that we become brighter lights for the kingdom, and spread the word of Jesus Christ.

Thank you VERY VERY much!!!! The Church is praying for you and your family...All things are possible!

Blessing's

I enjoy the love you have for the one and only God! It's not very often these days that people are open about it. You are truly an inspiration to me, not only through photography but also through your writing and how much you care about others.
You are definitely on top of my prayer list. However, there are a few prayers for myself and my husband. We are getting more and more into photography, so please pray that God will guide us (and we will listen). We both have full time jobs outside of photography so we have been only pursuing photography as a hobbie and loving every mintue of it.

Also, please pray that God will guide us family wise, either by us starting a family or by adopting.

I will be praying for everybody on this section, thank you all for being so great and inspirational!
God Bless!!!

Scarlett,

I am praying for you and your family daily. May God give you the strength to tackle each day with a smile and know that with Faith, nothing is impossible!

My prayer request is simple. I am praying for my brother who goes on his second tour in Iraq on June 15th. I pray for his safety and for his safe return.

peace,
Cheyenne

wow - what an incredible post! I'm still praying for you and your family, Scarlett. And for each of you that left a prayer request here. My own prayer request would be that I let go and let God. I all too often try to chart my own path instead of seeking His will for my life. It's so encouraging to find a group of photogs who love the Lord like myself (and you) and are willing to share their testimonies and requests here on your blog. Thank you, Scarlett, for making that possible!

Scarlett,
Know that you and your family are in my prayers.

My prayer requests are is that the Lord continues to keep me strong as I undergo breast cancer treatment. That he will continue to order and guide my steps, the steps of my medical team and that I will be cancer-free-healed! Also that I can be a living testimony for years to come to those around me.

My friend Mark who is getting ready to return to the military.

Scarlett, you are amazing to even be asking for our prayer requests while you are struggling with your own.

I do have just a few requests. First off, my husband is losing his job, and my photography business is what is supporting us right now. My business is going well, but we are really cutting it close as far as me actually covering everything. Pray that God will show us the way & reveal what HE wants Bryan to do with his life.

Also, I have two brothers (one is 22 & the other is 21) leaving for Iraq this summer. Please lift them, as well as my Mother up in prayer.

THANK YOU!!!!

Scarlett,
You dad and all of you are in my prayers. My son overcame an agressive cancer at the age of 2, so I know that miracles can happen! Your dad is lucky to have such a great support team around him!

My prayer requests:
That my son Cooper stays cancer free. He is 4 years since diagnosis, 3 years off treatment.

And...
That my photography business grows enough so that I can keep my 2 boys in their school our family has grown to love so much!

Thanks Scarlett! You rock!

I will be praying intensely for God to cover each of your requests in His love and peace and comfort and wisdom in the situations needed. May you feel my love through Christ.

Scarlett -

I continue to pray for your family and your father's battle.

My prayer request came about yesterday. A family member fell and hit her head — she is in the hospital right now with a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain in 3 areas. She has been put on a ventilator. As of this morning the hospital was doing an MRI and we will know more later today. She is a wife, a mother and a grandmother. Please keep her and our family in your prayers that God will help us in this rough time.
Thank you!!
