Cardboard testimonies.

I love how this video shows us that we are all hot crazy messes, but with God's love, we can be restored, healed and forgiven. My Texas friend Dixie sent the video to me in response to the news about my dad, and of course the tears poured down my face when the cancer fighter was wheeled up the stage with her cardboard testimony.

After watching that, I'm in tears. That was the most amazing thing. I cried outloud with the last testimonial.. my sister is trying to have babies and she is having a hard time. It kinda hit home. I appreciate you for this and for touching us the way you do. You always let people see the real you and you let us inside your heart. I admire you, and it is because of the dream you achieved through God that I am now trying to reach for mine. Thank you Scarlett.

Now, Scarlett... you should have had a warning on this post. :) I didn't plan to have tears streaming down my face at 7:25 in the morning!! I pray for your family to have the courage and strength to get through this difficult time.

This video is amazing. I saw it on your blog yesterday and showed our youth group at church. Let's just say tears were everywhere! God's amazing in how He uses our screw ups and turn it around for His glory. Thanks for posting awesome videos like this. I hope it touched at least one youth's life so they can get closer to God. We'll be praying for your dad too. Thanks again!

Scarlett Thank you VERY much for posting this!!!
It has made me realize the struggles I have survived.

I am a survivor of Depression, suicide, abuse, seizures, and a eating disorder. I survived the scare of a brain tumor, diabetes. Now, I'm in love with God and not letting Satan take the victory.

Scarlett, I pray much strenght, peace, and joy in your family. That you may continue to have strong faith and know that it is in the Lords hands. He is the healer and the almighty one, and ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE through Christ who strenghtins you and your family!!!
I pray that Satan will NOT have the vistory in this battle, I pray that the Lord will open the gates of Heaven and pour a healing power over your father.
Scarlett, remember to stay strong and keep that joy!!! Keep the faith, and keep pressing into the Lord.

Blessing's
Jona Lee

Wow! This really puts things in perspective. I know God is working in you and through you everyday as you thrive in your career and be the solid rock for your parents. You are an excellent example that we can all learn from. God does heal, restore and forgive. You are hot, but you are NOT a mess.

Love,
Rachie

Sorry to make so many people cry, but I hope it was cleansing tears for you as it was for me!

Danielle- How awesome are you, I'm so glad I was able to help you go after your dreams! Life is too short not to!

Elaine- Oh my gosh, I'm so touched that you were able to show the video to the youth group. Thank you for sharing that with me!

Jona- Thank you for your vulnerability to share what your cardboard testimony was! I know that takes courage, but I'm so thrilled to hear how God's love has changed your life! Thank you for believing in my dad's victory!

Rachie- LOLOLOLOL. Praise God for the freedom and peace that comes from forgiving others.

To my sister in Christ, Miss Scarlett. Im so glad that you chose to share this Scarlett. It is so powerful. I think it came at the right time When we are on our knees and broken is when God can really get our attention and show us who he is. Im sorry you all are having to go through this.
Remember that if God is for us, Whom then should I fear?

Wow that is really amazing.

God has always been so good to us. Even though we make the mistakes and choose our paths, He is still always there to hold our hands. Sometimes we never really notice who is watching our lives, to see if we REALLY trust in God, but He will never fail us, and the love of God will always shine through to those that are watching.

I will continue to pray for your dad, and don't loose hope. My Poppa was in the hospital for the past couple of weeks, and he had to have a leg removed. And at one point, the medicine had him so confused and he was so weak that he thought he wanted to die. But last night I was pushing him around in a wheelchair and one of the nurses walked by and spoke to him and told him how much better he was doing, and he said," God has seen me through, and he's been so good to me. I really didn't think I was going to make it out of the hospital, but the Dr.'s say I should be home this week." He continued to tell the nurse his testimony, and it amazed me to see how God can work for us.

God is going to bless you. Count on it!

I know this is a late comment to this post, but my friend sent me the link of this video on youtube...I bawled my eyes out! I have to say, due to certain things that have happened in my past, I haven't been back to church, but have always still had a love for God. I have felt his presence too many times to deny any of that. When I watched this tonight, I again remember what his power is like and his love!! Maybe one day I'll feel comfortable in a church. Till then, I keep him in my heart at home :) ~christina
