The best thing I love about shooting weddings is that it keeps me believing in love.
Even on days like today when I don't have a romantic love in my life, and I feel like the waiting game will never end, and I celebrate my 27th Valentine's Day alone... weddings keep me hopeful that somewhere out there, my husband is out there thinking of me too just as anxious for God's perfect timing to have our paths cross and begin our love story.
To all my brides and grooms who have allowed me into your lives, or will be, to capture your wedding day, thank you for serving as inspiration in my life that true love is worth the wait. I am not only a photographer at your wedding, but someone who is honored to celebrate your love story and share it with the world here on my blog. Your love leaves a legacy in my heart and inspires me to keep waiting for God's best.

Hello Miss Scarlett. I am on 28th Valentine's Days and am single and loving it. And while marriage to the man God has for me is a thought, I am not living to that end. I do not want to challenge you without cause, but could you be single for God? For a day, a year, a lifetime? If he knew this was best, could you? I found no matter the question, walking with God one day at a time makes all the difference. He will give you what you need and keep you in perfect peace if you are stayed on HIM. Happy Day after Valentine's!

And this is my 29th (!)...I'm encouraged with the weddings we shoot as well, and truly believe He knows our hearts desires (because He gave them to us in the first place ;)...and if we faithfully hold out, we will suddenly find our Love's a.k.a. Prince Charming's serenading us...(pump up the volume ;)

Cutie- Those are definitely tough questions to answer for anyone but I do agree with Jaren that He doesn't give us desires without a plan to fulfill them. I continue to trust that He knows best for each day at a time and am constantly amazed at how He always comes through better than I could have imagined or longed for.
