Have you seen Cashmere Mafia yet?
And they do it all.... in 5-inch heels."
Cashmere Mafia has become my new favorite show! It's like Sex and the City, with stellar fashion sense, but this time, in addition to tackling relationships, the four women friends are also tackling the NYC corporate world. I love how the show gives permission for women to be successful and powerful, and not have to apologize to men for it. As an entrepreneur business woman myself, I can appreciate this struggle. Lucy Lui is my favorite character. She's sensitive, yet a strong powerhouse, all at the same time.
Here's a fun preview of the show. It comes on ABC on Wednesday nights at 10pm. Or you can watch full episodes online anytime at abc.com.

That show is my new favorite this year! I love watching it online whenEVER I want. =)
I LOVE this show too! And identify which each girl in different ways. I was so missing Sex and the City and am not sure I'll like the new Lipstick Jungle the same as Cashmere Mafia!
Totally! I wanted to be one of these women when I was in college. I still have time...but I'll be conquering the corporate world in Jax. At this rate, I will be on the 23rd floor in less than 3 years, haha.
yes, lovely show. Its so nice to have a show to lose yourself in each week. Especially one with such good fashion sense :)
I LOVE THAT SHOW! but I heard they may cancel it :( boo my boyfriend told me that!
Anywho,
I had a quick question for you and I really did not want to leave it on here. Is it cool if I email you? Thanks :)
I totally agree! "Cashmere Mafia" isn't exactly "Sex and the City", but it's a close substitute. I also love the great balance of business acumen and fashion sense of the main characters. Who said that women have to look dowdy in the the workplace to be respected? :)
Have you seen "My Boys" on TBS? I'm a fan of that show as well.
"Especially one with such good fashion sense :)"
I also love the women's styles on "Cashmere Mafia". Although many of the clothes on "Sex and the City" were awesome (thanks to Patricia Field), a lot of the ladies' outfits weren't what I'd imagine to be wearable by many real women (especially a lot of Carrie's outfits :)). However, a lot of the outfits that the "Cashmere Mafia" characters wear are stylish and ideal office/street/evening wear to me.
I just watched the recent episode on abc.com. I'm SO glad that Juliet decided to leave Davis! She's a really smart woman who deserves so much more than his utter disrespect towards her! Wow...isn't it crazy that I'm talking about the characters like they're actual people? lol!
Jackie- Yeah online rocks!
Heather- Yeah I"m curious about Lipstick Jungle too.
Rachie- You'll be on the 23rd floor in no time.
Briana- Amen!
Danielle- Ahhhh poo. I hope they don't cancel it! I'm loving it. And yeah sure, feel free to email me at scarlett@scarlettlillian.com.
Jimmia- Yeah, I've seen My Boys too, but I kept forgetting it was on and missed a lot of the episodes. Interesting twist with all the baseball analogies! And I totally agree with you about Juliet and Davis plotline. What I loved most is how she already had his bags packed in the car and that analogy of saying good bye to your past baggage.
I've become totally addicted to this show! Plus it's a little more realistic than satc which means I can relate to more if it.
